Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is widely credited with starting the modern research into the study of witness memory as well as child victims as witnesses in lawful circumstances. Professor Goodman is the author of a wide range of papers and grants, is also the recipient of numerous national and global prizes. She has consulted with numerous organizations and government officials across the world on policies as well as research on child victims in the legal system. She acts as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a fellow in the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of three divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
